Congratulations, you've come across the website companion to the mighty Extra Life, a fine multiformat videogaming fanzine that has been going strong since October 2004. What originally began as a project for a Journalism degree continues today, and has developed from teensy 16 page issues into huge 36-40 page behemoths. There may be a little lull in the output of the fanzine these days, but this is where the site comes in. Yay.

New stuff ahoy v.2! I've now added something more to the newish 'Feature Articles' page (the banner below gives it away somewhat), and also, right down at the bottom of that page are ten pages of Greatest Gaming Moments which I think I finished off round about April sometime...

...

Welcome to Extra Life, the website to my fanzine of the same name. Please read through all that I have written as it took me absolutely ages (I'm not begging, honest)! Now, I know I haven't properly updated this website in quite a while, but work really leaves me with very little time to add to the site, much less write a new issue! With that in mind, much of my new stuff will appear on here from now on. There is however a new issue of Extra Life under construction, and that is an Issue dedicated to Namco's wonderful Tales series! I've recently acquired the vast majority of the series and am storming through the games sort of as we speak (I'm typing in between battles on Tales of Innocence). It'll take me a while to do, but it'll be worth it I'm sure, I've got some big plans for it (and it will probably be another 2 PDF files to ease on email servers!).

Right now it is August 3rd, and while it has been about 4 months since I did anything obvious to the site, I've been adding little bits here and there. However, over my last week off I've been putting together The 2008 Impromptu RPG Awards (click the banner above), very glitzy and glamourous. Or maybe not. But it is something I spent a bit of time on in the absence of a certain Gamespot user who I was going to write some blogs with instead.

The other additions are a couple of blog posts and the big Dragon Quest IV DS advert I hastily put together at the top of the page. More reviews will also be added to the reviews page soon!

As before, anybody who wants to post their own reviews on here is more than welcome. I'll add it to the standard template, picture it up and put it on here, with your name of course!

Please leave any comments or suggestions on the 'A Day in the [Extra] Life' page.
